Some of my personal favorites for shade are hostas. They some in many varieties. When separated, one plant will make many! If you have a protected partly sunny area, hydrangeas are fabulous. Several varieties are available, One plant yields many blossoms. They last for weeks and then can be cut and dried for year round beauty. Sunny areas are a great place for most perenials. Black-eyed susans are a beautiful option that give color all summer. For large space, the hibiscus is a dramatic option. The plant grows very large and flowers all summer. A fence area supports the prolific morning glory. It reseeds and soon takes over, vining and completely covering your fence.

Beautiful landscaping will brighten you day and give years of joy. Spend this summer outside!
